Union dues
Paycheq takes your union dues off your cheque the way your employer does, and lowers the tax on that cheque to match.
Adding your dues
- Open the Jobs tab, tap your job, then Union dues.
- Add an amount and choose how it’s Charged:
- Each cheque: the same amount off every cheque with earnings.
- Each week
- Each month: the full amount comes off the first cheque paid in each month.
- Percent of gross: a share of each cheque’s gross pay. Enter the Rate.
- Each quarter: the full amount comes off one cheque each quarter. Choose the Month (Before the quarter, First month, Second month or Third month) and the Cheque (First, Second or Last).
- Set From to the date it started.
- Tap Save, then Save on the job.
You can also enter your dues during setup.

When dues change
Add another amount with the date the change starts. Each amount applies to cheques paid from its date until the next one, so past cheques keep the old amount.
Good to know
- Dues show on the Pay screen under Deductions.
- Dues lower the tax on the cheque they come off, the same way they’re deductible at tax time.
- To remove dues, swipe left on the amount.
