The rate highlighted on the Clock card
While you’re on the clock, the Clock card’s Hourly rate row highlights the rate you’re earning right now. It moves by itself when your pay rate changes.
What the rates mean
The row shows your rate for this shift, with time and a half and double time beside it:
- Regular: your rate for this shift.
- 1.5×: time and a half.
- 2×: double time.
The highlighted one, with a tick, is what you’re earning this minute. If your rules pay another multiplier, such as a contract rate of 1.25×, it gets its own box while it applies.

When it changes
The highlight moves when:
- Daily or weekly overtime starts.
- A Saturday, Sunday or other day rate starts, or a whole-shift day rate applies.
- Your contract’s overtime window starts, such as midnight to 6 a.m.
You’ll feel a light tap when it moves, if haptics are on.
Earned so far
Earned so far adds up what you’ve earned this shift at each rate, overtime included, before deductions.
Good to know
- Before you clock in, Regular is highlighted.
- The rate also shows on your Lock Screen while you’re clocked in, if you have Paycheq Pro.
- If the highlight looks wrong, check your rules in Jobs, and the rate chosen for this shift.
