Reading the Week screen

The Week screen shows one week at a time: what you earned, your take-home pay, and every day you worked.

Moving between weeks

  • Tap the arrows at the top right to go to the previous or next week.
  • Tap the dates between the arrows to jump back to this week.
  • If you have more than one job, tap the job name at the top left to switch.

If you’re paid weekly or every two weeks, your week starts on the same day as your pay period, so the weeks line up with your cheques.

The week’s totals

The first card, This week, shows:

  • Your Net pay for the week, an estimate of your take-home pay.
  • What you Earned before deductions, and your hours.
  • Your hours and pay by rate, such as Regular, Time and a half and Double time.
Paycheq's Week screen on iPhone: the week's net pay and earnings, split into regular time, time and a half, double time and banked time, above a card for each day.

Day cards

Each day you worked, took a day off or had a holiday gets a card:

  • On the left, the date and the shift times. A shift you’re on now shows “– now”.
  • On the right, the day’s net pay, hours and earnings.
  • Holidays are marked with a star and their name. If Paycheq needs to know whether you qualify, the card asks a Yes or No question. See How holiday pay works.

A day in detail

Tap a day card to open it. You’ll see:

  • Each shift, with its time on the clock. Tap one to change it.
  • Any day off, such as vacation or a sick day. Tap one to change it.
  • Paid: exactly how the day was paid, with hours and dollars for each rate, plus anything like a meal allowance, minimum pay, holiday pay or overtime banked. Use this table to compare with your pay stub.
  • The holiday’s details, on a holiday.
  • Add a shift, Add vacation and Add a sick day, to add to that day.

Adding and deleting

  • Tap + at the top right, then Add a shift, Add vacation or Add a sick day.
  • Tap Select to choose shifts and days off to delete.

Good to know

  • Daily net pay is an estimate. Tax, CPP and EI are worked out for the whole cheque, then shared out across the days by what you earned.
