Exporting shifts and pay summaries

Send your shifts to a spreadsheet, or a pay summary as a PDF, to keep records, check your pay, or share with a union rep or accountant.

Making an export

  1. Open the Settings tab.
  2. Under Export, tap one of these:
    • Shifts (Excel or CSV): a spreadsheet of every shift, with its start, end, breaks and rate.
    • Pay summary (PDF): hours, pay and estimated deductions.
  3. Choose the Job. For shifts, you can choose All jobs, except when exporting by pay period.
  4. Under Covering, choose Pay period, Month or Year to date, then pick which one.
  5. Tap Share Excel file, Share CSV or Share PDF, then choose where to send it, such as Files, Mail or AirDrop.
Paycheq's Pay summary (PDF) screen on iPhone: the job, a choice of pay period, month or year to date, the pay period, and a Share PDF button.

What’s in the pay summary

  • For one pay period: that period’s hours by rate, pay and estimated deductions.
  • For a month or year: every cheque paid in that time, with totals. Months and years count cheques by payday, like the Pay screen.
  • The job’s labour rules and tax province, and an estimate notice.

Free and Pro

The free version exports the current pay period. Paycheq Pro exports any pay period, a month or the year to date.

Good to know

  • Files are made on your phone and only go where you send them.
  • The Excel file has the Paycheq logo, tidy columns and totals. The CSV is plain, for importing into other tools. Both open in Numbers, Excel or Google Sheets.

Estimates only. Not legal or tax advice.

Still stuck?

Paycheq keeps everything on your phone, and its pay figures are estimates, not legal or tax advice.
