TD1 claim amounts
Your TD1 forms tell your employer how much income to leave untaxed. Most people claim only the basic amount, and that’s Paycheq’s default.
Where to set them
- Open the Jobs tab and tap your job.
- Scroll to TD1 claims.
- Leave Basic federal amount only and Basic [your province] amount only on if you claimed just the basic personal amount.
- If you claimed more, such as a spouse, disability or tuition amount, turn the switch off and enter the total claim amount from that TD1 form.
- Tap Save.

Other settings
- Dependants on TD1ON (Ontario only): the number of dependants you claimed, which can lower your Ontario tax.
- I expect to owe no tax (claim code E): turn this on only if you filed a TD1 saying your income will be below the basic amount. No income tax is estimated.
Where to find your amounts
On the TD1 forms you gave your employer. Your HR or payroll office can tell you what’s on file.
Good to know
- Each job has its own TD1 claims. With two jobs, you normally claim the basic amount at only one of them.
- If you change your TD1 at work, update it here so the estimates follow.
